I couldn't have picked a worse time to be sick with midterms all this week and quizzes left and right. These goddamn allergies have me feeling so out of sync and demotivated to do any type of work. It's nearly impossible to fully focus in class, being hindered by the constant itch to sneeze, the concern to keep my nose from running, and the general feeling of disorientation brought upon by allergies. And with the stuffy nose that comes with staying stationary, it's even difficult to enjoy something as, well, enjoyable as sleeping and eating. Claritin, Benadryl, and their respective Target knock-offs have ceased to have any effect on my body and there is no hope in avoiding dust and pollen on this dirty-ass, flowery-ass campus. I've probably missed more classes so far during this quarter than I have all last quarter because of this shit. I would buy that Zyrtec stuff, but it's just too damn expensive. I'm generally against thievery, but I'm willing to compromise... I just want to hurry and get these midterms out of the way, go home, and relax with a cup of cold water and a bag of Veronas. Well, there you have it, today's cathartic complaint. Fuck you, allergies.
Update: To add onto the shittiness, next Wednesday's Little Dragon show sold out today! Most disappointed I've been so far this year.

1984
"Winston sank his arms to his sides and slowly refilled his lungs with air. His mind slid away into the labyrinthine world of doublethink. To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies, to hold simultaneously two opinions which canceled out, knowing them to be contradictory and believing in both of them…" - (Orwell, New American Library, 1981, p35)

Sailing out the doldrums of the morning"
